How do I get 3D maps on my Windows phone?

3D maps

I am using a Micromax W121 Windows 8.1 phone. I am in India. My Maps application is uptodate. I have enabled Aerial View but I am unable to get 3D view.
I tried changing the region to US. I have tried swiping down with two fingers. None of these suggestions that I came across elsewhere does the trick.
I don't see the 3D icon which is supposed to be there on the top right corner.
Can someone help?

Aerial view has nothing to do with 3D because this "only" shows a satellite view.
Changing regions also has nothing to do with it.
To get 3D the maps must have 3D information and even if they have it not every house will be "3D" only "important" landmarks.
So if you do not get the 3D icon in the top right corner I guess the map has no 3D info.

Thanks. I got confused by reading about Aerial View and 3D view in the same article.
