Lumia 730 headphone socket issue

My phone is just a month old and now 3.5 mm jack doesn't detect headphones intermittently. Why is it so ? It was fine until yesterday.

Damaged jack connector, replace it

Nokia care says that this happens with Sony headphones. Is that true ?

If you are using original one then its ok but never use non branded earphones. N if this problem is not resolved then visit the customer care store n replace it
