Use apps or links to websites like YouTube, Facebook, Google search?

Since we can pin websites (links) to Start and most websites have mobile versions, I don't see any point of using apps for websites like YouTube, Facebook, Google Search... The apps would just take away from the resources (RAM when active, Data storage, Updates and working in the background)

What do you guys think and what do you use?

Native apps have their own pluses, like downloading YouTube apps, being quicker to load things (since you aren't loading the whole UI over and over)

Although for news and stuff (which also don't have an app) I prefer a simple link pinned to start. Bonus points if it updates.

For Facebook it's ok and I agree with you but for YouTube I'm not. The website is limited to viewing videos at max 480p while the apps can reach 4K (Tubecast, when casting) or 1080p at 60 fps. That's a huge difference.
