Hi folks. I am facing this problem from over a month now. Most of the web pages I visit in IE in WP 8.1 on my Lumia phone gets redirected to some adware page, or it directly opens store with some predefined search fir an app. Its been happening a lot and I am unable to browse most websites which I used to frequent a lot.
    Example, theverge.com, gsmarena.com
Can anyone shed some light on this issue and how to resolve it. Clearing browsing history does not help.

I have never heard of that before.

Only thing I can think of is to close all the tabs... Depending on your settings, you should either have tabs or favorites next to the address bar... I'd it's tabs, hit that, if not, hit the 3 ellipses and select tabs... Then hit the 3 ellipses on the tabs screen and select "close all"... Maybe that will help?

I think some people had similar problems when on connections that had bogus DNS servers. Are you getting this on wifi, cellular or both?
