WhatsApp - 1 gig data in just a few days

Hi,

I got a Lumia 640 a week ago or so, and in a few days WhatsApp used more than 1 gig of mobile data in just a few days.

Previously I used an iPhone 5 and I was always impressed how little data WhatsApp was using. The only thing ever using up a substantial amount of data were videos of which I had to confirm the download explicitly.

Does anyone have information about this? Is this some kind of issue?

I use whatsapp a lot and my usage is only showing 6mb. So it does sound a bit weired. Did you do a restore to download all your conversation history?

I use whatsapp to talk to only a few people, and my use is 3mb so far this month.
