can anyone recommend please, a timer app (not a stopwatch please - I need a 15 minute timer) that will work in background (as soo many don't) and is free and free of ads - please :) I've lost soo many hours trying apps that people rate and yet they don't count correctly after the lock kicks in.

    Thanks,
    Brian.

I think #1 Toolkit might include one that does that, but don't quote me on that.

Thanks but that one has ads and more importantly, requires an awful lot of control over your phone (permissions to run are contacts, phone identity, owner identity, video and still capture, location services, maps, music library, photos library, media playback, microphone, data services, phone dialer,Proximity, movement and directional sensor, speech, web browser component) :)

    Thanks but it has ads.
I have found Alarms & timers but it might be gaining time (35 secs on 20 minutes on my first test) so it may be binned off.

Free without ads is pretty rare. Either accept the ads or pay a dollar.
