Truecaller is not working Nokia Lumia 640xl

I go the settings to enable it, switch on by sliding the button, it takes me to a prompt box which says allow truecaller to identify contacts not in the contact list. I press ok but when i return to the app, the toggle button automatically is set to off again. It doesn't activate at all. I repeated this process several times but it switched off on its own again and again. I've tried uninstalling the app but with no luck. Is anybody here facing the same issues?
I have installed app in phone memory only
Help is needed. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Windows Central,

I think this function only can be enabled after you "registered" your own number first so check the help section.

Make sure you have the latest network+ update and not having the WIN10 TP.

Otherwise it will properly.

Same with me. Doesnt work on Lumia 640XL.

I tried resetting my phone and caller ID issue was fixed and worked well. Now after upgrade to windows 10 mobile none would confront that problem anymore. Just remember the best solution is to reset your phone and Truecaller will operate normally
