I unlocked my mobile from Vodafone to 3 Ireland and I want to know how to get rid of the Vodafone splash screen when my phone boots up. Picture one is Vodafone. I want to replace it with my new mobile carrier 3 as shown in pic two.

You would need to flash the phone with a different firmware variant but matching the hardware (RM-xxx product code), either an unbranded country /regional or a specific carrier.

Ok how do i do this? I'm not a rom flashing noob lol. Flashed my fair share of Androids with Cyanogen mod and Clockwork mod for example.

XDA has tutorials on Windows phone flashing :)

Sorry for the late reply. Ya I went on to the forum by doing a quick google search on how to do the flash and omg it was simple all you needed was three little programs a little ingenuity and alot of patience and a strong stomach because if u do it wrong the phone is gone kaput lol. I got it from XDA very useful and so simple. Thanks for your suggestion though. :)

Hi RumouredNow I got it to work using the tutorial on XDA devs page. I found the windows phone central steps too confusing. Way too many for what is really a small 5 steps to get the custom three rom. I have it done and now my phone is fully three. Its nice to see my new network splash screen upon startup. Like having a new phone.

I've just been playing with the P4D / SD card hack for Reg edits on my 830 and used it to change my ATT boot screen to:

The shutdown screen swap did not take.
