Why doesn't my PC with Win10 & Nov. update, recognize my Win 8.1 phone?

My PC with win10 & Nov. update, does not recognize my win 8.1 phone

Since the November update, my PC does not recognize my Lumia 1520 win 8.1 phone

No error messages whatsoever? could be as simple as not having the right drivers. Check device manager (connect the phone via usb first) if any of the ports have an error..
