discovering the phone number from which an SMS / CALL is received

my friend has two phone numbers that I saved them under one name like JIM.
when he send SMS to me, I can't identify from which one is.
my mobile phone is lumia 640XL dual sim (win 8.1) and there no any swich with to arrow.
please help me if you know answer.

when your friend sends the sms, long press the number so that you can see which number it cam from. Alternatively, in the same thread, see if there's an option to switch number.

However, whenever the sms comes in and you hit reply, it will go to the same number that it came from, regardless of how many numbers are in the same contact

Thanks for reply , but I try it and when press on text , 3 options appear : delete & forward & copy
I can't figure out from which number I received it.
all my friend's sms are collected under one thread.
do you know another way??

if it is just one friend, then separate the numbers in to different contacts - eg contact 1, contact 2 or contact telcom 1 etc. This will also clear up confusion later on

unfortunately there are some guys with multiple phone numbers in my phone book and it is not possible to separate because of creating a huge number of people in my phone book.
