No Dell this time?

I was just going through some old WP7 device list and it hit me...Dell Venue Pro. Not a bad phone, leave a couple of screen-bleeding issue..In fact, back then, this was a competitor against my HD7...

So...isn't Dell a part of our WP8 wagon anymore...?

Dell bailed out of Windows Phone a while back. It's hard to be an OEM in the smartphone business and be successful. I'm not saying Dell will never give it another shot, but for now it appears they're not touching smartphones anymore. Maybe HP will try it, hahaha.

The DVP had its share of fans. I never saw one IRL, though.

I had one. Getting it activated was horrible. I had to wait on the phone with Dell support for four hours after receiving the phone before it was running. I suspect the lousy setup helped kill sales.
