Lumia 920 Official Announcement?

With all these announcements coming out, the surface, the 8X at best buy, samsungs pricing and lineup, how much longer do you think it will be before we get some official word about the 920's pre-order date, price, and release date?

It will have to be this week sometime if they are going to come through with that speculated October 21st date.

That would be unfortunate. Unless they said "COME ON IN AND ORDER IT TODAY!" but I don't see that happening. You would expect at least a couple days advanced notice that it will be available to pre-order.

It doesn't say "sources close to Nokia" it flat out says "Nokia announced"

"Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) has announced that the top three U.S. wireless carriers – Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ), AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) and Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S) – and it is now announcing that AT&T Inc. (T)- which has been the one wireless carrier to be a loyal retailer of Nokia handsets in the past – will be accepting pre-orders for the Lumia handsets as of Sunday, October 21."

Did I miss something? Was it actually officially announced? I feel like it hasn't been.

No way. T-Mobile isn't mentioned, though it is getting the 810. Sprint is mentioned, despite Sprint's announcement that there will be no WP8 devices for them until 2013.

The official 920 announcement was weeks ago. Unless you mean the official carrier announcement. Which in AT&T's case, will be the 21st when they begin preorders.

Yes, sorry, I mean carrier announcement. I watched the Nokia announcement stream.

The first part of the "announcement" is confusing, but the second part reads as if it is only AT&T that is accepting pre-orders on the 21st.

Why does it mention AT&T twice?
