We have two WP7 phones w/ 1 zune pass currently. I've never been too happy with the fact that we had to make the phone's default Windows ID the same on both phones so that our zune pass would work. We are now looking at getting four WP8 phones adding two for our kids. Does anyone know if it will be the same process or can we log into xbox music with a separate Windows ID than the main one on the phone?

I was experimenting with xbox music on Windows 8 desktop and it will allow you to, but it shows me all of my wife's music too. Thats kinda lame. We don't agree on music.

I was hoping that we could all have our own phone environments while sharing xbox music pass.

Thanks.

Here's a brief answer from xbox support I guess...

Notes
?You can only use your Xbox Music Pass on phones that use your Microsoft account.
?Xbox Music Pass is designed for a single user. If other members of your household have Windows Phones, their own Microsoft accounts would be associated with their phones and, therefore, they would need their own Xbox Music Passes.

Not the answer I was hoping for. They've also changed the number of devices that you can use to four total. It use to be 3 portables and 3 desktops.

So as long as you have the Microsoft account on the phone it will work, or does it have to be the primary account?
