So a few days ago I sent a few mails to developers and I thought you might wanted to hear some of the responses I've got. I simply asked everyone if they would launch their app for WP8.

Subwaysurfers
Hi,Thanks for your inquiry.
We're currently reviewing the future of Subway Surfers, but we strive to release it on as many platforms as possible.

Best Regards,

Kiloo

Hill Climb
We're hoping to support Windows Phone 8 and up at some point. It's still too early to say if Hill Climb Racing will support WP8. We're trying to have the support right from the start in the upcoming games though.

Best regards,

Extreme Road Trip
Not yet, but once Unity 3D (the game engine that we use) supports Windows Phone 8 we'll be there.

Cheers,

Guillaume

I also sent mail to Ski Safari, Snapchat, Temple Run, but haven't got any answers
So they are all saying it might come or working on releasing the apps on more platforms. And the guys from extreme road trip talked about the game engine Unity 3D. And I bet there are more games that have that platform. So my advice is to just send mails to all developers of games/apps you guys want, because if more people are asking for it, maybe there's a chance they would open their eyes for WP8 and release their apps. Because that's the biggest problem with wp8, the apps.

I've been waiting and waiting and waiting over and over again. Why are they so lazy? I just don't get it. I'm sure it wouldn't take them more than 1 week and they can also make more money for releasing the freakin' apps on WP too...

This is a good thread. Everyone needs to do this for the apps they want on WP8. The more people they hear from, the more likely they'll get busy on creating a WP8 app. Here's my responses from TeamViewer and Amazon (re:Cloud Player)
TeamViewer:
Dear ,

Thank you for your interest in TeamViewer for Windows Phone 8.

We are currently observing the development of the iPhone App in order to be able to make any further decisions concerning the development of applications for other mobile devices.

We would be happy to add you to our mailing list and inform you as soon as a solution for other mobile devices will be released.

If you wish to be added to our list please send us your full contact details.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.
Amazon Cloud Player:
Hello,

I am very sorry confirming that Amazon Cloud Player app is not available for Windows 8 phone at this time. Also, there is no update in regards to the launch of Amazon Cloud Player app for your phone.

Customer feedback like yours helps us continue to improve our products and provide better service to our customers. I?ve passed your suggestion to the Cloud Player team for consideration.

If you have any further query, please contact us by e-mail, phone or chat. Amazon MP3 specialists are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week using the following link:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/cont...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUwpUvbUpU1804438

I'm truly sorry, and I hope you'll give us another chance in the future.

i went to the to the Osmos forums.. One of my favorite relaxing games on the iphone (that would look amazing on the big lumia screen).

Hemisphere Games Forum • View topic - port for windows 8
Hey narv,

Thanks for your post -- glad to hear you've been enjoying Osmos!

No plans yet to support Windows 8 natively. The OS and tablet are still pretty new, and since we're such a small shop, there needs to be enough market momentum for us to rationalize taking the time to port the game. Balmer is keeping device sales close to his chest, so it's not clear there's a big enough user base yet for us to justify the cost. Rest assured, such things are back of our minds -- we'll be sure to let folks know how our thinking progresses on this issue!

Cheers,
Dave

If you've played that game before or youtube it and it looks interesting (it's awesome) then i would recommend adding to that forum topic.

Also, for any blizzard game players out there, many threads in the WoW website feature forum requesting WP and W8 support.. go add your voice there, though blizzard hasn't replied to anything yet.

Also, note in your e-mail that you have alternatives that you're considering. For example, tell Amazon that you're considering a switch to Xbox Music and Video and cancelling your Amazon Cloud Player subscription if you don't get some concrete availability dates. Give 'em a reason to make sure you're happy.

Which app(s) are you referring to and how do you know they are lazy or that it won't take them more than a week to make an app WP8-compatible? Are you a developer as well?

Marathon, Timer, and NewsSpot are all working on WP8 updates too from my talk with their devs. I've also contacted Square several times over the years about support. I've settled into just doing it about every six months and hoping. But, with WP8 finally getting more mainstream attention, my hoping is at least feeling more hopeful.

every week i have been asking mx player pro and power amp pro dev teams to take a look into porting their app to wp8. have not yet got a response from either, but we need a video player that supports more formats. usually those video players already come with their own codecs, they just use the devices hardware to play it.

I actually would like to see this thread stickied (sticky'd?). I've sent emails to Capcom about their new Devil May Cry app (don't personally care, just wanted to start somewhere) and to Discover as well.
Will post responses when I hear back.

Sent email to "With Buddies" game developers for the IOS and android platform. I received a email back stating they will not be developing for the Windows Phone Platform. So much for popular game support. Maybe need to flood these developers with mass emails!! 😁 Dice with Buddies would be nice on WP.
Sent from my HTC6990LVW using Board Express

Email response from popular flashcard program Studyblue.

"Hi,

As of right now, we do not have immediate plans in the works to create an app for the Windows Phone. Based on the resources available to us in this moment, it's not something we are able to commit time to. However, should popularity and demand continue to grow we will certainly reevaluate and move forward from there.

Thank you for reaching out!

Katie"

Thankfully I discovered the plethora of free, quality options available shortly after receiving this. No more business for you Studyblue, off to Quizlet thanks to its third party apps.

Emailed back and forth with Grooveshark about a week ago. They said their developers were not looking into creating an app for WP8 at this time.
