OTA software update: OS version 8.0.10211.204 / Firmware version 1532.20.20004.531I noticed that T-Mobile has confirmed as of this morning that an 8X OTA update will begin rolling out on Wednesday.

From the support document:


On December 19, a software update to OS version 8.0.10211.204 and firmware version 1532.20.20004.531 will be released for the Windows Phone 8X by HTC. The software update, which will be available by Over The Air (OTA), will help address a few bugs, including issues with Bluetooth, devices rebooting, and being incorrectly routed to tethering upsell pages when browsing.


Microsoft will send notification that the software update is available, but customers can manually pull the over the air update by going to phone update > check for updates.

I'm looking forward to this update! I've been experiencing the random reboots and just today starting experiencing the tethering upsell page while I was playing Logic Games. It kept leaving the game and going to the web browser to that page. Super annoying...

Glad to hear about the mis-direction to the tethering upsell page. I had called support and they were blaming it on my grandfathered data plan and trying to get me to downgrade to a newer plan to resolve...typical support. Glad I didn't go for that and it will be fixed.

I hope they don't block tzones like they do on other tmobile branded smartphones...
