How to turn off Facebook notifications?

Hi all. My phone seems to be totally inconsistent in giving me Facebook notifications. I'd like to turn off those notifications entirely but I can't figure out how.

Can anyone tell me how?

Do you mean the OS notifications through the people hub or the facebook application from the store?

I see Facebook notifications at the top of my lock screen sometimes. I had assumed they were from the Facebook app. But I guess they could be notifications that come through Facebook to the people hub. My memory was that when I click the notifications I jump into the Facebook app.

If you know how to turn any of the above off, let me know.

Go into the app and the menu pull has the settings option. Should be in there.

They are from the app. Go into the FB app > 3 dot menu > Settings > Notifications. You can set Tile/Toast or just Tile (or none) and then select what you want notifications for.

I had the same problem now, found this and solved it.
Now in my windows phone 7 it doesn't have the 3 dots but has a settings icon.
So it worked! Thanks!
