Random chime noise

Hi, All of a sudden, after a hard resrt, I started having this random chimes (simillar to drops hitting water). They seem to happen every 5mins and even play on top of music. Please help me hunt down the cause, as its extreemely annoying.

i have them too, can't find that tone in the built in list to address its source
happen to me mostly after unlocking the device
definitely annoying..

You get those sounds when you lock and unlock the screen on default settings so maybe it's related to that?

no because i've already tampered with notification sounds
also won't happen every time i un/lock the phone

Try disabling the NFC "tap-to-send". I found that my phone would make this sound if I placed my bank/oyster card next to it.

Definately NFC related...I get the same everytime I rest my 920 on top of my wallet.

Oh god thank you. I am usually with my phone and oyster in the same hand while travelling, and seem to listen to music only when travelling, this was driving my crazy!!!
