So I listen to a lot of books on tape, which I've manually ripped from CDs and the one problem I wish I could solve is saving my spot. If I pause track (I typically pull the books in CD sized chunks -- usually about an hour long) the Music app will keep my place only as long as the app is in memory. When it gets closed by the phone after I've opened app after app during the day, I've lost my place.

My workaround for now is to pin a OneNote note to my start screen and when I stop listening, I just note in there where I am, but that is such a kludge.

I've also noticed that the same thing happens with podcasts.

Anyone have any way to keep their spot in a music track or podcast?

    Thanks!

I wish. However, to improve on your workaround, you may want to try stickytiles. way faster than one note
