It does, but it won't be updated so any security issues will remain unpatched due to Adobe killing off Flash Mobile.

Flash Mobile is dead, it's never coming back and this thread should be closed before it goes any further!!

Clearly you never tried watching porn on your phone.

It's not that far fetched really. WP and RT don't make any money for Microsoft. They need to try something new.

Don't count on it, the only Intel based Smartphone on the planet runs Android and despite decent reviews no one bought it!!

Its not only the porn, there's also other flash material on the web.. why can't we enjoy it on our mobile devices.
They discontinued it thinking that we only use flash for the youtube player and now we don't need it since there's a HTML5 one.
And not to mention that it's not only the WEB! What if i want to open a .swf file on my device? I would love flash on my phone, but tbh I won't go crazy if it isnt there.

The only places I have found that don't offer html5 are porn sites and certain news sites. Other than that I have had no problem.

Would be a nice idea to browse a bit before making such posts then

There are countless useless sites that use flash that you don't actually need to go to.

Really the only sites that use flash are silly flash based game sites, silly flashed based cartoon sites, sites that stream illegal content, porn, and the occasional oddball who thought making the site interface out of flash would be a good idea. (hint- it's not).

You don't need to play flash based games on your phone- the app store is full of clones of the games that the flash games are clones of.
You don't need to watch silly flash cartoons on your phone. You'll stop caring about that by next year anyway.
There are a few apps in the store that can fetch the streams from illegal content sites... but xbox video is coming soon, and their collection is fairly impressive- some anime eps are even available the day they air. Depends on the studio. There are plenty of other streaming service apps too- hulu, crunchyroll, netflix... I don't actually stream anything but I know there are many more.
We *do* need to be able to watch porn and this is getting to be a problem... :)

Flash is more and more a way for publishers to intentionally block content from phones/tablets. If you want to watch free commercial content (I don't mean pirated), you need flash.

Or, you could use the better app that said publishers provide to every single tablet/phone platform.

Why don't you guys just download FlashVideo from the marketplace? It streams all of my tv shows from links like putlocker, sockshare, gorillavid, etc...etc...

Mobility... that's all about, there is more chance to get caught watching pr0n in 22'' display than a mobile device.

Yes but there is no "In Private" tab for mobile IE! Thus you must resort to alternative search engines so that your search history does not show up every time you hit the search button!

Honestly, this is a coin toss on whether it will happen. On one hand, Adobe killed flash mobile (and MS has reiterated this on Uservoice), but on the other hand, RT has flash, and being based on NT, I wouldn't see why MS couldn't bring FULL (read: non-mobile) flash to Windows Phone in the future, especially seeing as MS will be merging the frameworks of WP8 & RT in the future (something most commonly mistake as them combining the actual OSes).

also, there is A LOT more sites that use flash. One of the sites I commonly frequent has user created flash content. And no, its not a porn site, and its not knock off games I could find in the app store. Its actual unique artistic content. There are other sites too. Nintendo had a flash of their WaraWara plaza from WiiU on their homepage at one point. I've been to sites that use flash based music players. There are numerous sites that utilize flash. Its not "dead" as adobe tried to make it seem. Its a way to create unique, interactive content. HTML5 can do a lot, but its still missing numerous features flash has.

Flash for Mobile devices IS dead and Adobe have stated this already, Flash itself isn't. Flash can be a battery hog on mobile devices and with the majority of websites slowly making the move away from Flash to the more battery friendly HTML5, I don't see Flash lasting much longer. Even Adobe are moving away from it and putting their efforts into supporting HTML5 in their products instead.

I, like a lot of others, see Flash more as a legacy plugin these days anyway. It's still supported by IE for compatibility purposes.

I don't think its supported by IE for "compatibility purposes". Its more than just some legacy plugin. Java is more of a legacy plugin than flash (only thing I know that uses Java these days is Minecraft). New content is still being made today in flash. Even YouTube plays in flash unless you opt in to the (still slightly buggy) HTML5 mode. Flash does things HTML5 can't.

Also, I didn't say flash mobile wasn't dead. That aside, flash will of course have effect on the battery, but no more than playing a game. Its not like flash will be running 24/7. It would probably be activated on a per needed basis.

Anyways, a lot may find flash unnecessary, but a lot still find it having purpose. Sure, it may move from mainstream use by corporations, but a lot of artists and content creators of the web will still use it.

Flash has purpose that can't be replaced by HTML5. (Just try converting an interactive swf file with advanced controls and animation to a html5 page using Google Swiffy, and see how much is lost in conversion and how slow the html5 version runs.)

1. Flash isn't dead.
2. Flash mobile isn't dead, it maybe seems like it is because Adobe won't continue to develop it, but trust me if you could download Flash Player from app stores on all OSes it'd be one of the most downloaded apps.
3. HTML will never fully replace flash, niether by function, compitability, usage or anything.

Also, one question, could someone (putting aside copyright or whatever) actually make a unofficial Adobe Flash Player app for mobile devices (example: for WP)?
Like..imitate a desktop OS, or use some API or idk.. is it possible?

I wouldn't see why not. Android dev's have done it, so why cant WP devs?
