OS freezes on PIN screen

Hi all,

I have a group of 12 users with HTC 8s devices.

One particular user was reporting regularly that the phone was becoming non-responsive so the handset was replaced by the network provider.

However the problem started occurring again with the replacement handset. It was seemingly happening when he he entered his PIN on the lock screen. Since then 2 more users have reported that their handsets have become non-responsive, both when entering their PIN.

The remaining 9 users do not use a PIN to unlock the screen and non of these have had issues with the OS freezing.


Is this a known WP8 issue?

I can;t find much online.

Been using a pin on my 822 for several weeks, no problems so far.

Happens to me and my 8s to be honest. Screen can be a little slow to get to the enter password stage and then entering a password can be a little unresponsive.
I figured it was because I had loads of apps open, but that wasn't the case.

I have instructed users to disable the screen PIN and I'll report back with results.

Check if they have a Bluetooth headset. Might be locking up whenever its reconnecting to that.
