Windows phone and File explorer of windows XP

Hi I have just bought lumia 520 and I am trying to trasnfer files using file explorer on windows XP.
Thing is when I connect my phone via data cable, a folder appears named "lumia 520 #2". But when I open it, it doesn't show anything in it. No folders. And when I try to copy paste any file, the paste option doesn't appear. When I try to drag a file, it doesn't copy.

When i click on the folder and go into properties it only shows camera options.

I can't think what's the issue here :/

I was able to hook up my 920 to an Xp machine. I'm trying to remember what I did but I think it was simply a reboot of the machine. If that doesn't work I think it's possible that it may be a windows update driver installation. It should show up as Phone Storage in My Computer and I believe the SD card shows up as removable media. There should be preset folders.
