message centre acting strange, not working

Weird things going on in the message centre on my Huawei Ascend W1. If someone sends me a text message or a message through Facebook, I can see the toast notification, but when I press the notification to see the whole message, I didn't receive anything. Same with sending messages. When I send a text message it gets delivered (tried it) but it doesn't save my message on my phone.

What's going on?

This all started when I inserted a SD card for the first time, this afternoon. Doesn't seem to have any connection, but it seems good to mention. HELP!

check your time and date! Windows Phone sorts them from the time the system had while sending/receiving the message.

This is an older thread. Meanwhile I did a #switchtolumia and i'm having the same problem. Only this time changing the time or date doesn't work. Only when I change the date int one day ahead of the actual date i'm able to send text messages. Anyone has a clue of what's wrong?
