Requirements for "remote wipe"/"lost phone"

What connectivity settings (cell data, GPS etc) are required for "remote wipe" or "find a lost phone" features on WP8?

Basically will cell data on be enough for "wipe" or "find phone" if the GPS gets activated when I log on with my live.com account? or will the phone being logged in be enough?

...kinda sounds like at least cell data have to be on to activate GPS though but still would like to know what these two features require...

Does that apply to "remote wipe" also? (not sure if you were talking about both or only the latter)...
