You can't remove it, it's there to provide quick access to emotes.

Well I only used it when I wanted to sent emoticons on WhatsApp. But now, WhatsApp got his updated and I got the Emoji smileys that I regularly used on my iPhone.

Having that button on the keyboard allows you to send emotes from any messaging app. The other thing is that it allows you to quickly insert emotes in other apps as well, including WhatsApp

I know, but I don't use emoticons on messaging apps, except WhatsApp. And the emotions doesn't look quite the same as accustomed.

But I know enough, too bad that I can't remove it so my space bar was a little bit bigger. Sometimes I hit the ''dot'' and not the spacebar that is also annoying.
