Alarm is softer than WP7?

For years, I've relied on my phone's alarm to wake me up, as it's usually the loudest and I can always choose a tone that would wake me up. The HTC Radar (WP7.5) was pretty loud.

I just got the Lumia 925 and I know that it's about as loud as the Radar. However, the native Alarm app is significantly softer. I often wake up before my alarm anyway, but if I ever stay sleep up to the time of my alarm, who knows if I'll hear it.

Is this present on all WP8 devices? Perhaps only Lumias?

i agree...My HTC HD7 was louder than L520

I haven't had a WP7 device but I think it is a matter of opinion as my 925 wakes me up fine

Funny, my L521 is louder than any previous WP7 phone I had (and except the Lumias & Radar, I had them all). HTC has always had good loudspeakers across the board but my Titan and HD7 were weak, imo.

So I was partially right. The alarm actually does start out softer, but gets louder every other ring if you continue to ignore it. I believe the volume increases twice.
