Interesting "other" experience

I just received a "new" 8X, as my previous device had "clouds, then starbursts" in the lower right corner of the screen. Nevermind that. What interests me most is that I now have 1gb more space, after installing ALL of my 180+ apps. Hmmmmm... ..

So, I got the make my space update the other day. I pull a lot of movies, so I had ?1gb free. The app popped up, and I just saw 3.48gb free. All this came from Other.. Wow!!!! Don't know what happened..

Installed/uninstalled modern combat 4, then Spiderman, had 1.2gb left, ran make more space, now have 4.22gb

What if his "experimental firmware" from the from him specified "new 8X" is doing all the magic...? Because this is very interesting, 'cause in many cases the storage does almost the opposite, it increases.. Please keep us updated, and if you can, drop a screenshot of the "about" page on our phone, so we can see if there's anything unusual. IF that is the catch.. Or HTC is experimenting something

P.S.: Could you tell us the amount of "other" storage?

Have 2.90g, but installed asphalt 7.. Running shrink storage now.

Uninstalled Asphalt, ran shrink. 3.17gb in other, 3.8gb free.
