Nothing to be worried here. The signal transmitted itself is coded, not like repeating the same thing can do much of it. If that encryption system is so weak, then you can just do a blind scan and repeat whatever signal you pickup which will do the trick just fine without the hassle to pretend a known WiFi point.

I don't think that any WiFi protocol is absolutely safe, there's just various vulnerabilities for each one.

The absolutely worst thing to use is open hotspots at coffee-shops, etc.
