With quad core chips and 1080p, I'm pretty sure they'll add a pretty basic feature, 802.11ac. The HTC One has it, so does the S4, maybe other phones do. I'm sure the next iPhone will too. But to be sure GDR3 will add this support, please vote in my Suggestion Box/UserVoice thread. Even 1 vote is fine (I prefer more though, :p). Thanks.

i wouldn't say 802.11ac is a basic feature. it is more of a premium feature. it just came out a few months ago and i don't know anyone or any business/organization/institution that actually uses it.
though i doubt that a software upgrade can enable it. i don't think current WPs have the chipset for it.

That's why I said GDR3 will bring quad core and better processors. If a device has a better processor, it should have 802.11ac. Like the chip to have it. I never said for a software update to enable it. That would be cool, but impossible if it doesn't have it in it. :p
