Ok, so I know that I am not posting any issue or suggestion regarding Windows Phone 8, but I just wanted you guys know that 4 days ago I bought a Lumia 520 and I LOVE IT! Everything is so intuitive and easy to use... Oh, forgot to mention that I like this site alot and that I will probably spend a big chunk of time navigating through it.

I bought its sister phone the Nokia 521 (T-mobile version of the 520), and its by far the coolest phone I have ever owned. I love the camera and music features and just can't put the phone down. Great phones.

I have a 521, started a separate thread on how much I like it. WP8 is intuitive, elegant, and makes the standard icon driven phones look dated by comparison (IMO).
I just read an article by Oscar Godson "My Switch from iOS to Windows Phone and why I won't be going back" and he nailed it!

His last paragraph was the best. He basically states he is truly surprised, coming from iOS, just how much he loves it.

Welcome! Stay tuned. It will only get better. My hat is off to Microsoft. I think they nailed an OS that will be a real trend-setter.

It's a very awesome phone, as long as some of the issues avoids you or don't pop up frequently, but those are mostly OS issues not 520's..

Played with it for the last hour. Overall, I love it.

There are some usage paradigms I need to change, and he app ecosystem is kind of light (known), but for a cheap device, it represents the platform VERY well.

Yes, I agree 100 percent. I had a feeling you'd say something similar to that. I'm missing a few things coming from Berry and Droid, but overall, I love the platform. Some of the apps represent well, some do not, and some live tiles are very weak, but others are very good.
Overall, a fine OS, considering it's fairly new. I hope that in a year's time, it will improve greatly.

I think the speech recognition is good. I dictate many emails and texts, as I did on Droid and iOS. Can't on my Berry, obviously. Also like the People and Business hubs. If you do any social networking (I do for business, not really for personal), once you set up your Facebook and/or LinkedIn and/or Twitter, everything dumps into the "Whats New" on the People hub and makes it really convenient. Remember some Apps are not called what you expect. i.e., a great app for Instagram is 6tag. As the volume of apps increases, you will probably see authentic rather than 3rd party apps for things, but for now, you can make due. And I happen to like some of the 3rd parties I've used. Impressed with some very much.

Keep experimenting. There are things you are most likely going to love, and things you are going to miss from your previous platform.

Edit: Just remembered. For me, the BEST thing about not relying on my old Berry.... Trying to dial phone numbers with those tiny QWERTY keys! That was horrible. I don't know how I did it for all those years. Now I get presented a HUGE touch keyboard. Or I can dictate the call. Nice change for me.

    So...

Nice OS. Different vibe than Android, iOS or BB10, and I'm a fan of tech diversity. The hardware is nice; it makes me think "if this is a cheap device, I wonder how nice the pricier models are."

The Outlook functionality is great, abs I'm really impressed with how they have shared it into a mobile OS. I miss my Gapps, but there are some functional alternatives.

I miss Swype a lot, but prefer the keyboard to iOS keyboard.

Funny, I just noticed that. My Lumia "Auto-Correct" changed it to Lumina and I did not catch it... either that or I mistyped. Corrected at any event, Boris.
