Outlook bleak

Ive looked around and not found answers to my problem.

I've had my 520 for just over a month and o have my Microsoft /outlook account on it but I simply cannot get it to work for the life of me.

It won't sync I always get errors, I cannot receive or send email......yet my Gmail works like a charm albeit with crappy syncing due to windowsphone backend stuff.

If someone can help me it would be appreciated.

It should also be noted I can log on to my Microsoft account via PC and view the two welcome emails but I can still not send or receive.

If it is a new Microsoft account I would create another one to see if you get same result.

you should be able to open a case from within outlook? I've never tried though.

Try changing your server to dub-m.hotmail.com

That's what mine is set to. Worth a quick try.

The advice I've seen regarding this issue is doing a reset on the phone. It appears the only way to fix it. If you haven't got much personal data on there I would suggest doing that.

There was one thing I found for WP7 with the same error. Seems a bit drawn out.

That's what mine is set to. Worth a quick try.

Yeah I just did a check and mine is the same.

Thanks for the advice everyone I switched mine to dub-m.hotmail.com and all is well no reset required

Yea I tested it out immediately got my wife to send me a email and it came instantaneously.

I also hoped people would like my wordplay with the title lol
