Whenever i switch to 3G signal network stay's 2G that's E even restarting phone doesn't work...but sometimes it works by turning airplane mode ON & OFF....my area is good to 3G coverage....@L520

With Aircel India carrier it was working fine...but changed my sim services to Airtel....

It happens in my l720 also..vodafone. after about 10-15 mins. , it changes to H .

you are not alone , i also face the same issue , my area has a good 3g coverage of airtel , first it was coming H/H+ but 1 time i set to 2g , and then again 3g but it still remains E.
I dont know whats the problem . can anybody help. My area has strong 3g coverage as in my samesung note 2 it comes H/H+ all time but in my lumia 625 it comes E.

Any update on this thread? I am also facing the same, I am using Lumia 521 with airtel 3G but I am getting only 2G network even I set the proper APN settings.. Please help.

Guys remember one thing..
2g/3g whichever have greater signal Windows Mobile will be connected to that network...
my Lumia 720 goes great on BSNL..

@Kalyan it's not about signal issue....Airtel services are too good in my area...it's switch issues.....on Aircel it works perfectly....
