Change default Family room calendar? Or how to import entries to it?

My situation is this:

Wife and I have been using our own Microsoft/Live calendar for years to schedule upcoming appointments, list birthdayes, etc long before the Windows Phone 8 Rooms feature came out

We both have Windows Phone 8 phones and utilize the Family room feature a lot to share photos, update our grocery list, etc.

You can see where I'm going with this ...

How can I have it so that our Family room can utilize our original Microsoft/Live calendar instead of the default one that was created when I set up the Family Room on my Windows Phone? I've tried renaming our original calendar "Family room" and deleting the default Family room one that my Windows Phone created, but that didn't help.

Now I just get a message from the Family room itself each time saying, "Calendar deleted ... The calendar for this room has been deleted. Create a new calendar?"

If there's no way to have the Rooms use a different calendar, is there a way for me to inport those calendar entries from our original Microsoft/Live calendar into our Family Rooms calendar?
