Different Wifi location different battery drains?

Can someone help me understand why my battery would drain at different rates at two different locations in idle mode, wifi only (no cellular data connection). My "resting" battery drain using home wifi is about 0.8% per hour, but my resting battery drain at work using wifi is about 2.5% per hour, despite everything else being exactly the same on my phone. What specs can I look at about the wifi or network settings that might explain this difference? I'm using a Lumia 920 with Black.

Thanks,

The only difference I could speculate on is signal strength. If the signal is low at work or if it drops out regularly then it could be the reason.

In your wifi settings, under advanced, do you have the 'Keep WiFi on when screen times out' clicked on? Since I'm at work and can't check at this moment (no wifi) I think you can do this per wifi connection. Keeping it on saves battery.

That's the only thing I can think of off hand.
