Bing Maps Offline Maps bigger?

I've been using Here Maps for GPS navigation for nearly a year. I would download the offline map for my province and it all worked great.

But recently I did a hard reset and noticed something strange: the map now weighs a lot more than what it did before (from what I remember, about 4 times what it weighed).

Given that I have only 4 GB of phone storage, this is a problem for me.

So I have three questions:

- Did anyone notice this too?
- Is there an app that allows to get only parts of a maps?
- Is there an app where maps weigh less?

Do you have an SD card in your phone (you don't say the phone) - if so use Storage Check to move apps onto the SD card.

I do have an SD Card on my Windows Phone HTC 8s. But I thought we couldn't move apps to the SD card... :shocked:

Oh it's an HTC so I can't install Storage Check

Could the difference in map size have to do with mixing Windows 8 and Windows Phone stores? The map would be bigger for PCs and tablets and unifiying them into one would force MS to give the biggest (just a thought I had that may be completely wrong )
