Any way to speed up or disable animations?

I have a Nokia lumia 521 with t-mobile. When I hit the home button there is an animation of the tiles coming up. I only takes a second or so, but I've grown tired of it, it gets redundant and it makes the phone seem slower than it is. I'd rather just have it pop up with the home screen or at least speed up the animation. Is there any way to do this?

Hey , sorry you can not tweak animations in windows phone 8.1 but I can assure that windows phone 8.1 (developer preview ) animations are lot more smoother and faster :smile:

Well thats good. A little improvement is better than none. I was hoping and kinda figured they would change it.
