How to prevent people's photos from appearing on my "People" tile?

My theme color is set to "Green". If my contacts is not connected to Skype or Facebook, the People/Contacts tile on the Home screen appears to be smaller tiles of different shades of green.

However, once my contacts are connected to my Skype or Facebook account, other people's photos start appearing on the People/Contacts tile on the home screen. I want to prevent this from happening and keep it as the "shades of green" tile when your phone is not connected to any Skype or Facebook account.

Is there any way to do this? Thanks.

Have you tried filtering your contact list?

Setting the tile size to small prevents it from animating. Not a great solution but it works. I know in W10TP for desktop you can select a tile and turn off the live tile. I don't know if the same will be possible on the mobile version.
