Do the controls on Monster Purity headset work well with 920?

I'm thinking of getting this guy and wondering if all is well with those of you who have upgraded to the 920.

Also curious if anyone knows if the only difference between the headsets for sale now and the yellow/red ones (not the wireless) that are coming soon is the color. I'd be sad to grab the magenta then find the red one is somehow improved.
