Are wireless chargers "smart" chargers?

Hello all,

Just picked up a new to me 822 and am curious about the wireless charging capabilities. As with others, I'm unsure of the actual value of wireless charging but I could at least maybe make an argument for one if it was a smart charger - a charger that won't over charge your battery.

Are they all "smart"? If not, which ones are?

I expect they have smarts built in em. But mostly, the smarts is built into the battery itself. It has a built in calibration that turns off charging once it reaches max or 100%
