Of course it still drains power. But it's not measurable by standard watt meters, as the power drain is pretty low.

Awesome. Thanks for the vid. Hope there was no camera tricks. Having said that, tor years the power company and its overly enthusiastic advocates have been telling us that leaving the charger plugged in consumes power. They even admit the power consumption is miniscule but every little bit helps. Now they can just squash that drama.

And where exactly is this "power" going?? There is no transfer of electrons, no where for them to go, so they just sit there. There has to be a complete circuit (a complete circuit means there is a load) for any sort of electron transfer.
