Seeing that the official charger is a 1.3 amp unit, I have a question That I have searched high and low for the answer. Does using the 2.1 side of my 2.1 / 1 amp car charger adapter hurt my L1520 ? I would love to see an official revue of wall/car chargers.

Amperage is not a concern, unless it is too low. The amperage rating on a charger is the maximum an attached device would be able to draw, not the requisite amount. Voltage may be another matter though (I'm not even 90% sure of that one...) and I believe some Apple chargers have an unstandard voltage. Watch out for that.

Andy is correct. The amperage is the maximum charge. Amperage is a quantity, or volume of electricity. The higher the amperage, the more electricity is flowing. Therefore, the higher the amps, the quicker your phone will charge. Too much can be bad, but your phone limits the level of charge.
