I know there are a lot of twitter alternatives like rowi and gleek!(which is awesome a lot of props to the devs) but are there any Facebook alternatives (if the API is even available for it) the default Facebook sucks (love the me tiles for posting updates tho). Something minimalistic would be nice (which is why I switched to WP, simple but powerful.

the minimalist fb 'app' isnt actually an app. Its built right in to the OS. if you want simple and amazing just use the 'people' hub.

for a more 'robust' approach you're stuck with the regular FB application that stinks, orrrrr what i like is using just facebook.com via the browser. I use Wiztiles to make a sweet tile on my start screen and it just goes straight to facebook with one tap. Its like an application but its just a bookmark. Mobile Facebook is super good in ie10 because its all html5 it works really great.
