NYC transit/subway apps

I recently visited NYC for a week and my girlfriend has the Embark app on her iPhone. It's a pretty slick subway app and works well. Naturally, it's only on Apple and Android (though, maybe just Apple now since I see they acquired Embark). Of course, when I got back home I realized Nokia Here Transit exists. I've been playing with it a little bit, it seems nice, though you can't just specify subway. It's usually a mix of subway and bus routes.

So, what app do you use for subway navigation? I couldn't find anything besides Here Transit that's similar to Embark or that's been updated in the past year.

I use the Nokia here transit. Then there's a third party MTA Information app and I also downloaded a high resolution image of the subway map and favorited it in the Photos app. Hopstop used to be available until Apple bought it. I still have it but haven't used it recently.
