Instagram has not been updated in a year

It has been one year since Instagram was last updated for Windows Phone

Unfortunately people using 6tag doesn't help the situation as it doesn't get recognised as being used by a WP.

So as long as people are using 3rd party software Instagram doesn't see the numbers of people using it's software. It's a vicious cycle of people not wanting to use it because it lacks functions and Instagram not wanting to update it because it doesn't think enough people are using it.

It may also be a case of MS not paying them any more money to update it...

It's called ROI for a reason. If they don't think it produces anything for them they're aren't going to stick to updating something.

It's the same for all major apps. It could also be they got frustrated with MS. Who knows?

That typically doesn't work. Also complaining to them on Twitter doesn't work.

On top of that. most people like 6tag more. Which is part of the problem.

So people say. It's got a couple of features that the official app doesn't have but charges for features the official app does have.

The issue is that 6Tag doesn't register as a WP user. So it doesn't get counted in their stats. So the more people use that the less people are using WP. Even though people say to use #tags, unfortunately that doesn't help.
