IM+ not working on my windows 8.1 nokia lumia 920

I installed IM+ to use instead of fb messenger because they stopped it working today. No warning that fb messenger was not going to work anymore. Even the app dint say that. Just some nonsense about getting the latest version. What rubbish! I uninstalled and reinstalled from the Store but still got same issue. So i tried im+ but it just keeps asking me to login...wether i hit connect or save...same same. So i logged into fb on my desktop and got into account settings. Somewhere there it said something about adding apps so i added IM+. Still not able to log into IM+ on my phone Can anyone give me some insight as its been a lot of years since i used IM+.
