At least you guys can complete an order! AT&T cancels my order as soon as I place them! Since I want it in Cyan my only option is online and the reps say they can't even place an order till launch day I've called so many times today.

This is kind of a long story so bear with me...
I had been trying to upgrade my device which is on a line on a family plan. I could not get the $99 price and free charger to show up at checkout unless I selected a new plan. I called AT&T this morning and a rep ordered everything for me over the phone...$99 for the phone and free charger. She told me I would have to accept the terms and conditions email. When I received the email it stated the device was a Lumia 900 for $99 and she had chosen a new plan for me :mad: Of course I declined the terms.
I called again and asked another operator if I could receive a credit (which I read another poster had done). She credited me $180 to my account and I made a new order online at the $199 price for the phone and added the charger for $49.
Everything seemed to be fine until I live chatted with AT&T tonight to see whats up with the status and she told me that my phone would not be sent until I accept the terms and conditions email. I think they are getting confused with the previous order I tried to make over the phone. I called again and they see the new order but they cant tell me if I need to accept terms or not for it to ship. I have to speak to another department which isn't open until 8am.
My order status has said in progress all day and my card was charged the full amount...not a pending charge.
These past 2 days have been unbelievably frustrating. If I wasn't on a family plan I would close my account.
Sounds like by the time you accept the conditions and they ship out your device, you'd probably get it sooner by going to a store Friday morning.
At this point, that's probably what I would do. Plus its $99 with a free charger, so you shouldn't run into any pricing issues at the store.
I really think they are just confusing the orders. There should be no terms and conditions to accept. It was just a phone upgrade to an already existing line.
At least I'm hoping anyways. The fact that Vagrant's order is still processing gives me hope.
If I'm still processing in the morning I'm going to call and demand overnight shipping.

To avoid all of this confusion everyone that wants to get the in store colors should go their local AT&T, the rest that want the Cyan or Yellow online only colors are the ones that should be having these kind of problems,
I don't think these devices will be soldout by the end of the weekend...

i'd rather have them send it to me, rather than me call stores to see which one has it in the color i want and then drive over there, blah blah blah.
i have some faith in att, they did get me my preordered L900 the friday before the sunday release. i'm just a little OCD when it comes to things being up in the air.
I ordered a cyan through Premier online around 8AM central Wed. Shows shipped as of now for the phone. Charging plate appears to be coming separately.
Tracking shows it has been in motion since last night.
My order was cancelled by AT&T out of nowhere today. Well actually I can think of a few legitimate but very minor reasons but AT&T reps were unable to figure out why. ANY other company would have figured out a solution to take my money and sell me their product. All those hours I wasted waiting for the preorder button to go live... I'm going to the store tomorrow I guess.
Of course there are terms and conditions. You are signing a 2 year contract that has early termination fees and data plan requirements.
my order was shipped yesterday through USPS... and that's all I know... No delivery date etc. I hope it will be tomorrow.
Everyone should make sure to check the "My Orders" page under you account rather then using the "Order Status" page.
My Order Status page says it's still "processing" although they sent me the email yesterday afternoon saying: "We have processed your order and it has been sent to our warehouse for shipment."
I ordered as soon as the website stopped being flakey, which was like 3AM central time, and selected overnight shipping. It had said it would ship today. Hope it works out :)

I'm starting to be a little less certain about this, but we will see.
My order has shipped this morning as of 7:00 CST! Tracking says it is going all FedEx (No USPS involved) and expected delivery time is tomorrow by 4:30 pm.
just called premier support and was told my pre order won't ship until at least Friday but could be up to 5 days after then. Really want cyan or else I'd just cancel it!

I got a FEDEX number which has an expected delivery date of Friday for my Black Lumia 920 and charger. I did have a hassle ordering yesterday becaue my voice plan code was old our out of date. Once that was fixed I was able to successfully place the order.

I ordered a red one yesterday morning at 8:00 AM EST and I'm in the same boat. I received my email stating that it's been processed but the site still shows "processing".

I pre-ordered cyan yesterday at about 10am Central time from an AT&T store. Order status is processing. No tracking number. I live in Memphis about 5 minutes from FedEx headquarters. Wish I could just drive over there and grab it!
The moment you do get a tracking number, you can usually call FedEx and actually have them do that for you. Sometimes they can, sometimes they can't. I've done it a few times as long as it hasn't already been thrown onto a truck.
Hmmm.... Great idea. I might give that a shot since I'm off work today but not tomorrow.
I'm going to try and pick my phone up from the FedEx sorting facility. There is a shot I might be able to get it on my lunch hour rather than my wife getting it at home. (If she sees the phone first, she might look at her Galaxy S3 tell me that's what I'm getting)

My Cyan has shipped. I got an email with tracking number and I should be receiving it Friday. I do not know about my charging plate. I guess we will wait and see.
Fedex won't let me hold the shipment at a FedEx location - I'm assuming one of those retail locations. (I tried the service from the tracking page - I didn't actually call FedEx)
Pre-ordered a black on AT&T Premier and my status says shipped for the phone and sim (delivery date for Friday via FedEX.) Charging plate doesn't seem to have been shipped out yet.
Excited for this new phone! Have been using an iPhone for a few years (3GS to 4) but the 5 didn't really excite me. I can't wait :)

Update here - new customer, premier, ordered cyan 920 around 12:30am yesterday.
Called AT&T CSR this morning - the CSR gave me the whole "it's processing, you'll just have to wait" thing, despite it having been about 32 hours since I placed the order. After some more questions she said it might be held up because of issues with porting the number from Virgin Mobile (I guess there are issues with porting from prepaid sometimes). Then she transferred me over to premier to a woman who was actually really helpful. She pushed the order through and upgraded me to free overnight shipping so I should see my cyan beauty tomorrow! (I didn't ask about the charging plate that was on my order)
Order status still hasn't updated, but she assured me that the order was being sent to the warehouse now, and my credit card finally got the charge for the phone so I'm confident this worked.
So, premier people, if your order is still processing, you might want to give them a call.
EDIT: order now shows up using https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/# - says pending shipment, but only for the 920 and a SIM; no charging plate listed... oh well, that's not so urgent. I'll just see if it comes Friday and if not, deal with it then.
I'm still in order processing purgatory. Perhaps I'll get an update later today but my optimism that I'll get the phone tomorrow is all but gone. Expecting a Monday or Tuesday delivery (If it comes USPS it'll be Tuesday, FedEx should be Monday I would imagine).
I elected to not port my number at order time hoping that would expedite the process and not get hung up on a port.
We shall see what the day brings. Still somewhat concerned that my order status screen states "Nokia 920 PHONE" and not the actual Nokia 920 Cyan which I've seen on other order status posts. My confirmation has Cyan though.

Looks like I'll be hitting my AT&T store tomorrow and cancelling that pre-order if the status hasn't changed by tomorrow.
It would be a plus if the plate came, but as long as I receive the phone on Friday I'll be more than happy.
My card just got charged for the phone, but no tracking number and still says processing. Interestingly, when the rep in the store ordered the phone for me through their direct fulfillment system, he couldn't get the charging plate to show up as free, so he just discounted the phone $50. My card just got charged $50, so looks like the plate isn't shipping yet.
Just spoke to AT&T. Everything is fine on my order but the phone is now backordered :(
Last night, after the back-ordered issue with my pre-order, I went into my local AT&T store and spoke with the manager, and explained the situation. He was more than helpful. He took my name, number, account number and email address and said he would make sure to have one held for me. He did tell me to call in today after 4pm to see if they had arrived yet, or tomorrow after 1pm to do the same.
These are reasons I don't like to pre-order tech online. You never know what's going to happen. I'll take my chances at a store, instead. Congrats to all who have theirs en route to them. I'll have mine tomorrow night (...hopefully)

Pre-ordered the Lumia 920 around 2am on the 7th. My account was charged and I got an email saying that my order was going to a warehouse for shipment. Today, I checked my bank account only to discover the funds have been returned to me and my order is just sitting there with a "Processing". Have no idea what's going on.
Edit: I'm thinking about trying to cancel and just heading into the store, but I don't see a cancel button :/

Backordered doesn't necessarily mean we'd be waiting a week for one, don't worry. I'm sure these guys have JIT inventory, they are probably delivering new phones to the warehouses as they come in.
That said, I'll be checking the status again tomorrow AM and if it's still in backorder, I'm going to hit the store.
I was fine with waiting as long as a year for a 920 until I got a big crack across the screen of my 900, now I'm eager to replace it ASAP because I'm not about to invest money in getting the screen replaced and the crack is driving me crazy.

An online check of my order status says "processing" even though I received an e-mail saying that it had been processed and was being sent to the warehouse for shipping. I dont know why every body things that the stores will have unlimited quantity?. Why dont you leave it in and then if you pick up in store then come and cancel. ?

Mine says the same thing in regard to the Ipad micro sim. And it says "Pending shipment" for it, but the phone says "Processing".
I just looked at my order status and it says the same thing about the iPad replacement SIM. Not sure what that is, and the charger isn't showing up either, although it didn't give me the option for it when ordering.

After I received the e-mail that mine had processed and gone to shipping, my status showed back ordered. An hour or so later it went to processing. So your back order status might change.
The funds are on hold in my account, not charged yet. Still processing. But my original confirmation letter said it will ship on the 8th. Which is today. So we'll see. Since I'm getting the cyan and have to order online. Not much I can do about it.
Odd on the differences in the way some have gotten information. I ordered yesterday morning at 10:41. At 10:42 got my confirmation e-mail. At 11:14 got the e-mail that it had been processed and sent to shipping. I saw yesterday where some people didn't get the sent to shipping for a few hours. Definitely no clear pattern here.
Checked this morning... got a tracking number for both my phone and plate! Both scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

@jwinch2 the iPad SIM they are sending is the odd description they have listed for the mirco SIM that is compatible with the Lumia 920. I think the problem with most carriers is that their online systems plug into their billing system to a fault. Billing SOC codes and descriptions that are confusing to us but not the employees display and it makes you wonder if you got the right part, etc.
It's good to question it - you really should - but all you are getting is a micro SIM. AT&T probably needs to go in and edit the SOC code description but they either choose not to or it would cause issues with fulfillment of iPhone orders.

I was under the impression that one did not easily open the 920 for issues of the SIM, etc.
It's got a tray that opens just as easily as an iPhone's.
It comes with a SIM tray opening tool. No more complicated than the iPhone.

I pre-ordered mine well before midnight day before yesterday and just got off the phone with Premier support. My order wouldn't ship until next week they said. This is insane. Last time I pre-order anything. Going to Microsoft Store in Bellevue tomorrow to get my Cyan Lumia 920. Waste of time dealing with AT&T.

What's the point of preordering something if its not going to arrive when it's supposed to. Also, other than the discount, there seems to be such little advantage to being a Premier user.
I preordered my phone yesterdat at noon eastern time. I received the email from Premier saying they were processing the order. It was still saying that today and the order was not showing up on att.com. Chatting with a salesperson online and they said they see my order but need more information to complete it :-( So...I am now waiting for Premier support to pick up the chat and tell me the issue.
If you have no status update I would call or chat...
That's another option I have, to go to the Microsoft Store in MoA. If nothing changes for me by 3 PM today, I think that's what i'll do, but first I need to figure out how to cancel the order. It says in my email I can't anymore.

Logged into my ATT account and the status was updated to show shipped! I ordered at 12:36AM CST. Currently only the sim / phone shipped, my wireless charger still says pending.
I ordered a red 920. When I look at tracking it says that fedex received the package yesterday, so your device may have shipped already and you're just waiting for the news to propogate.

The Premier status comes with your employer signing a contract for service with AT&T. Most companies have a contract with the big three carriers in the market, usually neighboring in the hundreds of users across the country when all users are combined. To earn and retain the business carriers pass along a discount, usually higher than what is offered to the general employee, to the members of management and their fleet of users who will be using the phones for business. That same discount is aso extended to personal lines of service under the terms of the contract but the AT&T rep that is serving the company has to be the one to record the sale, beyond that they are just any other Premier AT&T customer.
Receiving a corporate discount works two ways - one, because your company either utilizes enough lines of service to qualify for discounted pricing or their monthly spending is high enough you receive special pricing on service which may also include free activation and a discount on accessories. Two, the level of this discount is maintained by the number of subscribers from your company that register with the carrier. The more people in your company use AT&T, the better your offer will be. If by comparison year-to-date employees leave the company, drop AT&T or switch to another carrier the discount may be reviewed, modified and possibly restricted / eliminated.
Speaking from the carrier side of things on the B2B market, owners of a company pretty much get their phones and service for free. (Think Fortune 500) They may end up paying off-contract pricing for phones because they don't want a contract or cannot upgrade technically but that car charger, case, screen protector - free. I remember setting up a lawn care business with 50 phones for their fleet of mowers. They previously had Nextel, but instead of using Direct Connect they would rack up minutes calling family back in Mexico. Not being racist - that was what really happened. To get the business the company was sold a plan of $10 per user, which gave 1,000 minutes but no features. The phones were restricted to company lines. Oh, did I mention the rep goofed and forgot the $10 plan (a retention plan at that) didn't include Caller ID which at the time was extra? Yeah, we had to add that at no-charge plus "phone to phone" which let them call the other lines for free. $500 a month before taxes with room for further revenue from them. They wouldn't use features, of course, since they went with the most basic models.
Being a business that does "xxx,xxx.xx" amount of business a month has its perks. Back in my day being corporate or "Premier" meant more than a 10%, 20% or more discount. You had Enterprise customer service and reps dedicated to handling corporate clientle. If you needed a replacement phone, you received it that day. Yes, I saw it happen. I remember pushing a dolly of 100 phones across a busy street in evening rush hour traffic between a retail store and our regional sales office to take care of a customer that had to have phones first thing the following morning.
I admit the allure of being Premier now is just a discount, but it is still beneficial to have and can help your company down the line so long as others around you continue to stay with AT&T.

Ordered Black 920 over the phone around noonish on the 7th. I am a premier customer, but I was on the phone with regular ordering. Even though he said he did, the charging plate was not added to the order. I called today and they created a separate order to ship me the charging plate. I just got my tracking number a few minutes ago. Mine is coming via UPS, but UPS doesn't have any other info.
ON A SIDE NOT I EVEN CALLED AT&T AND THEY DIDNT EVEN KNOW IT HAD SHIPPED. WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE AT&T KNOWS NOTHING!!!! sorry for yelling....:P

are you porting a number over from a different carrier? and you have been charged in full for the 920? that's the only thing I can think of...I ordered around 9:30PST on the 6th and got my tracking info late yesterday evening. Same here... I ordered a Cyan at 12:15am PST and I have no shipping info yet. I'm going to be a little pissed if I hung out for 3 hours waiting to order the phone and past midnight to finally get it in and not get it delivered on Friday when plenty of people ordered online after me and are indeed getting it tomorrow.
Unfortunately, I want the Lumia 920 so I have no choice but AT&T. It's unfortunate that they can't get their crap together an honor orders in FIFO fashion which is how they state they process them.
