running wp7 apps

Is it normal to have a black bar at the top of the screen when using wp7 apps on the htc8x. I noticed the Facebook apps seems fine but twitter has a black bar at the top, anyone else notice this? Is it normal?

Because of the resolution of the 8X, apps from Windows Phone 7 do not scale to the entire screen properly. They scale enough so that apps won't look distorted.

Once apps are updated for Windows Phone 8, you should see less black bars on the top, Twitter being one of the apps slated to get an update.
