The conventional wisdom is to turn off Bluetooth to save battery. However, what are the actual facts on this and the impact BT has on standby when it's not in use?

Also, there is mention that the Lumia 920 is Bluetooth 4.0 compatible. I've read that means it uses even less power. Is that true since basic standby would also need to work with legacy devices? My guess would be BT 4.0 would only function as an active connection to another 4.0 compatible device.
