Hi can anyone help me out? I was playing around and decided to flash my rogers lumia 920 with an AT&T ROM. i just wanted to try it out. I flashed it back to the rogers rom, and i have lost support for AWS 1700 Band! I can no longer see wind or mobilicity, and my other lumia is just fine! In the phone properties, the radio version, software and hardware versions are all the same as my other lumia. I tried manual network select, and no 1700 mhz networks are showing!

can anyone help me on how or what file to modify to get my aws 1700 support back?? I am so annoyed, as at&t has purposely crippled their firmware, that even an originally rogers lumia will lose aws if flashed with a att rom. Please help :(

You should have left well enough alone if you flashed it to ATT rom you probably disabled the 1700 AWS radio how to get it back is a mighty good question. You might not be able to change back. Have you tried a factory reset? If that doesnt work well if you knew ATT "purposely disable or crippled their rom why would even want to take such a chance? And because you wanted toi play with fire and got burned its Att's fault? REALLY!

You have to blame yourself, no one else. If you knew that att has crippled their rom, why even flash it

I thought flashing it back to the Rogers ROM would bring it back to how it used to be before flashing to ATT. I am surprised that it was a total override, and that reflashing the Rogers firmware didn't enable AWS 1700. That was surprising to me.

flashing ATT firmware on Rogers Lumia 920 WON'T disable AWS1700. i do have a Rogers Lumia using on T-Mobile/ATT and flashed an ATT ROM and i still get AWS1700 on T-Mobile. i have SG Note2 on TMo and verified that my area only uses AWS1700 on 4G not the refarm 1900.

I don't understand how come mine is disabled. I flashed ATT PWBASSY-RM820 Light from NaviFirm, and it has disabled AWS 1700. Is there any way using ##3282# to reenable it? Right now, it shows all bands enabled and automatic. Thanks

flash any of the firmware on the list below:

059L848: RM-820_NAM_ATT_US_VAR237330_V1_Black
059N5T9: RM-820_NAM_ATT_US_VAR237330_V1_Cyan
059N5T7: RM-820_NAM_ATT_US_VAR237330_V1_Red
059N5T3: RM-820_NAM_ATT_US_VAR237330_V1_White
059N5T5: RM-820_NAM_ATT_US_VAR237330_V1_Yellow

it doesn't matter which color of Lumia 920 you have. AWS1700 is not disabled on any of these firmware.

As stated above just try and flash other ROMs until you can get it back. Also, the guys on XDA will probably have more knowledge of this

I fail to see how the OP is blaming AT&T. He is annoyed that they crippled the bands in their firmware. That's fair.

So the million dollar question is, can we flash the firmware of an unlocked phone to an AT&T phone and get an unlocked phone as the end result?

Thank you! I am in no way blaming AT&T. It was my own choice and mistake to flash their ROM, but I am simply annoyed by their limitation they have put on their phones

I can also confirm that an AT&T ROM -> Rogers ROM somehow disables AWS 1700, although the way I found out was different than the OP.

I have a Dev device that was flashed to AT&T and AWS 1700 didn't work, then when flashed to Rogers AWS is also disabled.

I don't have any answers though, lol.

Can't really provide assistance in your issue, unfortunately, but I was wondering if you had a bit of info for me. I have an AT&T unlocked Lumia 920 which doesn't have several options that my other, Rogers, 920 does (such as setting max network speed and setting the APNs without installing additional software). By flashing it with the Rogers firmware, would this unlock those options? Thanks.
