Just finished a live chat with Nokia rep. I asked about launch date, stating that they had informed me that 1st week of Jan was told to me previously. It's already start of first week, so any further updates? And also, that the proprity dealers are insisting on 15th as launch date.
They answered that the phone will indeed launch in the 1st week itself, and not any further.

I guess then phone will be 'Launched' this week, and will be available for sell around 15th.


I don't think black will be available soon. Because they haven't listed on their indiatimes store.

Yeah, Even if they provide us the date & price, it will ONLY BE A LAUNCH DATE, NOT THE AVAILABILITY of the device. Mind you again, this is INDIA, yaha sab late chalta hai, Bhench*d Saale kaam chor saale... MY LAWD !

yes...excited.
It will come in this month for sure. So planning other things now. Though the wait is agonizing, i'm trying to keep my mind busy with little things such as colour etc.

That was awesome, Laxman. Yeah I've seen many of such vids. Those keep me pushing to buy 920. No doubt that it'll always be remembered as a legendary, historic device. No denying to it.

I had mailed Nokia India about launch. Following was the reply from them

I would like to inform you that these devices will be available by January 1 week in Indian market. We apologize but at present we don not have the exact timelines for launch and price of this particular device because we get this information closer to the launch date. However, we can assure you that you will find a communication though media channels (television/radio/newspapers/website).

He told me following things:

Me: I can take this is as a official news, rite ? (I was referring to the launching dates)
XXX: Yes.
Me: also can you provide me some information about the color options that can be choosed from ?
XXX: Sure, let me check this for you.
I would like to inform you about the colours in which the device is going to be launched are, : Purple, Cyan, Grey, Black, White, Yellow, Red.
These are of Nokia Lumia 820.
And the 920 is going to be launched in Red,yellow,White colour.

fed up waiting...called my bro to buy L920 from dubai & will reach my hands in 2 days..its 2499AED there & it will be around 37500INR. wat do u guys think? is it a bad move? i know i wont get warranty, but still, do u guys think india price will be below 37k?

Oh yeah! It is promising indeed. So does that mean India will get 920 in only 3 colors, Red, white, yellow? I wanna get a Red one!

no, it doesn't mean that at all. When 900 was going to launch, only cyan was shown there as coming soon.
Point which proofs it is that, Black one not listed there. How come a phone comes to market with no black version, the most sold one. So we may see the black and grey one listed here soon. Cyan one is a big mystery, I will be looking for it coz I still hv to wait a bit more to finally get it!

Well, if Nokia is launching 920 with 3G alone, I don't know what's their reason for this delay. We guys are talking about launch like bunch of idiots and yet nothing is official but for coming sooon.... Moreover, for now even if they launch waiting for colours like grey and cyan may end up another couple of months... Initially, I think if some one is going for non glossy it would be black alone...

I thought of getting from Dubai too, but the problem is Lumia 920 may have separate firmware for India because they are deactivating the LTE radio.
