BTW, does any one have any idea of Black release date?
As seen in Nokia's Global release page it says "Coming Soon" which means it has been approved and is in final stage of release.

Hope this update fixes the yellow hue problem in photos. Really hope to have better pics on my 920

Just updated my Lumia 920 to Lumia Black... Anyway was running GDR3, so was a quick task which did run for a while

I get the same error but my brother's 820 got updated fine. Note: He did not get the gdr3 preview so I don't think this is anything to do with gdr3.

For those having trouble updating to Lumia Black;

This appears to be a common Problem being faced by both 920/820 model updates worldwide.

Reason: Only Nokia component of Lumia Black being AIR 'ed and not the GDR3 component of the update.

Solution: No sure about the success, but as suggested on various forums.
- Delete Temp Files
- Reboot your Phone
- Check again and Update

Note: Not sure if this has been fixed already or not. Just give it a try.

Then how my brother's 820 got updated without gdr3? I tried this solution but no success.

Wait for some time till there's an update on the error as most of the devices are getting that error. I tried 4-5 times but no luck even with the solution given there is nothing.
For now waiting is the best solution until we hear anything from Nokia & MS..

Absolutely no Idea! That's the reason I said I'm not sure if they have fixed it yet or Not !!
All I did was consolidate all the discussions going on on in various Forums

unfortunately i cant get my hands on black yet, as my 920 is with the nokia care facility under repair... will take 12 days to get it :|
Cant wait already T_T...
